Brothers and Sisters, we spent the day bargaining over Article III. The company proposed language for Alternative shifts. Their proposal lacks clarification concerning mandatory assignment of less senior employees to non-standard work weeks.
Your committee explained to the company that the letters of agreement on TOW and 847 are effective. These letters address how members volunteer for those shifts. This language in our contract must address things that concern our members such as PTO, short term disability, job security, wages, notice, length on the shift, hardship, and so on.
